Michael Blount

Prior to forming Wilson Blount in 2021, Michael served 15 years at Keystone Corporation, an international real estate development firm headquartered in Raleigh, which has developed over 7 million square feet of commercial, residential, and industrial space over its 42 year history.

 

Michael has over 20 years of experience in project management and development of commercial and residential real estate.  He has managed the development and construction of a variety of project types, including Class A office, flex, industrial, lab, R&D, residential subdivisions, single-family, and multi-family housing.

 

A native of Salisbury, NC, Michael obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 2004 and his Masters in Business Administration in 2015 from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

Michael is a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker and a licensed general contractor.  He is an active member of the Raleigh-Durham chapter of NAIOP, where he served on the Board of Directors and as its President.  He serves as a mentor at the Wood Center for Real Estate Studies at UNC and as a member of the Advisory Council for Passage Home of Raleigh.  Michael and his wife, Adair, have three children and are active members of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Raleigh.
